Battle for the Heart of Eretz-Israel!

Steven Shamrak

The PA Minister of Religious Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash and the former Chief Justice of the PA's Religious Court both recently declared that the PA's Islamic belief and political position is that Jews are prohibited from praying at the Western Wall of the Temple Mount .
The PA claims that the area of the Muslim holy site, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, includes not only the mosque itself, but extends over the entire Temple Mount and includes the current Judaism's holiest site - the Western Wall.
The religious belief that Jerusalem must only be Muslim is also the PA's political demand. "I say to the leaders of our Arab nation and to its peoples: Jerusalem and its environs are a trust that Allah entrusted to us. Saving it from the settlement monster and the danger of Judaization and (land) confiscation is a personal (Islamic)] commandment (Arabic: fard ayn) incumbent on all of us." (Al-Jazeera TV, March 27, 2010) (Enemies are waging war against Israel on all fronts. Regardless what Israel have or will offer to the PA it will never be enough!)

Jordanian PM Abdullah Ensour said that Jordan recognizes Palestinian sovereignty over "every square millimeter" of East Jerusalem, and this includes the Temple Mount , known as Haram al-Sharif by Muslims. He also said that Jordan's King Abdullah and Abbas signed an agreement last year that renewed the kingdom's role as a custodian of Muslim holy sites in the city. (Ambiguity is the best diplomatic tool of enemies of Israel. Israel must take a full control of all Jewish religious sites, as the first step toward reunification of land of Israel, Eretz-Israel!)
The Fatah movement, which is headed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, posted a warning to Israelis. A sign showed an assault rifle and a map of "Palestine" that included both PA controlled areas and all of Israel. In Arabic, Hebrew, and English it said: "Warning. This is a land of a Palestinian state and the occupation to leave immediately". (Why must Israel negotiate with this scum?)
Food for Thought by Steven Shamrak
For centuries many kings of the Christian and Muslim worlds employed Jews as advisors and jesters (smart 'fools' exposed enemies with a joke and were trusted confidants). This tradition is still practiced in some modern countries, as it is easy to take credit for success based on a good 'Jewish' idea or blame Jews if something gone wrong!
Egypt's former army chief and leading presidential candidate, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, said Sunday that, if elected, he would be willing to consider making changes to the peace agreement with Israel. The comments by Sisi are in contrast to ones he made just week before, when he said that he would "respect all international treaties and contracts, including the peace treaty with Israel." (Al-Sisi, as all Muslim politicians, is playing anti-Israel politics)
Netanyahu Offered Help to Nigeria
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu offered to help Nigeria in trying to recover roughly 300 Christian schoolgirls, who were kidnapped by the Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group Boko Haram. "We are prepared to help in locating the girls and to fight the cruel terror which has struck you," pledged Netanyahu.
A unique "Peace Run" initiated by an Australian extreme athlete to promote coexistence between Jews and Arabs in Judea and Samaria was dealt a severe blow, after the PA objected to the presence of Jewish runners. Apparently, the news had reached the Palestinian Olympic Committee in Ramallah, which threatened to pull out of the Peace Run if Farmer continued to run with the Jewish well-wishers. (Fake peace process - Fake Peace run!)
A pregnant Sudanese woman who married a Christian man was sentenced to death for refusing to recant her Christian faith. Meriam Ibrahim, whose father was Muslim but mother was an Orthodox Christian from Ethiopia , was convicted of "apostasy" and given four days to repent and escape death.
In the last two years, the United States has been humiliating senior members of the Israeli defense establishment who ask for entry visas. High-ranking Israeli officials wait many months for visas, end up receiving short-term visit pass and endure humiliating checks in the process.
Iran 's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei threw a large spanner in nuclear diplomacy, when he told the Revolutionary Guards to start mass-producing missiles. He dismissed western expectations on limits to missile production as "stupid and idiotic."
The top Roman Catholic cleric in Israel , Latin Patriarch Fouad Twal, said that the vandalism "poisons the atmosphere of coexistence" for the papal visit at the end of May. He asked why the vandals haven't been caught. (Christian officials are never so vocal when churches are vandalized and Christians are killed by Muslims. Israel does not need lecturing from bigots!)
Hypocrisy and Double-standard of Bullies
A Turkish minister says a European court order to pay Greek Cypriots millions of euros in compensation is not binding. The European Court of Human Rights ordered Turkey to pay 90 million euros ($124 million) compensate to Cyprus for the 1974 invasion. Even as it demands compensation from Israel over the deaths of violent activists, terrorists who were supported by Turkish government, Turkey refuses European court order to pay compensation for invasion. (Turkey needs to compensate Israel! Israel must stop apologizing for killing enemies, learn to say "No" to release of the terrorists and, most importantly, clearly declare that there will be no ceding of the Jewish land!)
Japanese-Israel military intelligence collaboration in cyber security was at the center of bilateral defense agreements reached in Tokyo between Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and visiting Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. The two leaders agreed to join forces against China's cyber war capabilities, some of which Beijing has transferred to Iran 's Revolutionary Guards and the North Korean armed forces.
Quote of the Week:
"We have developed 'next generation' technology here for a system that will provide a solution for future threats. You could say that all of the systems worked perfectly. The jewel in the crown is the interceptor, which carries technologies that do not exist yet anywhere else in the world." - Pini Yungman, head of the Missile Defense Systems Authority in Rafael Advanced Defense Systems commented on the test of the David's Sling anti-missile system - Being prepared to repel attack is prudent, but defense only is not the best strategy to win a war. Unfortunately, the leadership of Israel is still unable to develop national a plan of defeating enemies and reunifying all Jewish land. The experiment of fake peace negotiations has failed, as it was predicted!

Jerusalem councilman Aryeh King announces he will not join Jerusalem officials welcoming the Pope, unless 'he returns Jewish treasures from Vatican basement.'
"I won't come, unless (the Pope) will bring in his suitcase the treasures of the Jewish people that were stolen by his predecessors, treasures that today are located in the Vatican's basement," remarked King.
Several treasures from the destroyed Holy Temple in Jerusalem are believed to have been brought to Rome; indeed the Arch of Titus in Rome , erected shortly after the death of Emperor Titus in 81 CE, clearly depicts Roman soldiers bringing to Rome the golden candelabrum and other Temple artifacts.
The treasures reportedly remained on public display between 75 CE and the early 5th century in the Temple of Peace in Rome's Forum. Jews have requested access to the Vatican 's storehouses to ascertain whether the treasures are still there.
The councilman added "without the return of our people's possessions, I see in (the Pope's) visit an unprecedented insolence."
In 1996 Israeli Religious Affairs Minister Shimon Shetreet requested of the Pope that an official inquiry be conducted to determine if the legendary golden menorah from the Second Temple is hidden in the Vatican. Shetreet claimed to have evidence the menorah was there.
During a visit to Italy, the President of Israel, Moshe Katzav, asked the Prime Minister of the Vatican , Cardinal Angelo Sudano, to prepare a list of all the Temple treasures, vessels, and Judaica that are being held by the Vatican . Since the mid-1990s, a heated political wrangle has been simmering between the Vatican and Israel , which has accused the papacy of imprisoning the treasure.
The fact that the Vatican holds these holy Temple vessels has been very well known since 70 CE. Many Jews traveled to the Vatican when they could do so to look for them and to see them. Some of the travelers testified that they had personally seen the golden Menorah and the vessels in the basements of the Vatican. Some priests have even confirmed this fact.
The Temple Menorah of pure gold together with other holy vessels from the Temple was stolen by the Romans and taken to Rome. After the destruction of the Temple and the Israeli kingdom in 70 CE, the Roman emperor Titus built a triumphal arch in Rome. The arch portrayed Israeli captives carrying to Rome the Menorah and other vessels taken from the Temple in Jerusalem .
Although the Prime Minister of the Vatican did not disapprove of the request by President Katsav, he did not show any readiness to accept it and no progress was made with regard to the matter! (Just imagine how much of Jewish heritage - books, ritual wear, artwork - is still hidden in the basements of churches, monasteries, museums and art galleries of the anti-Semitic Europe ! Stealing from Jews is still a 'badge of honor' for the bigots. Many countries are still hindering the return of Jewish properties and waiting for the moment when it will be legally "too late". In their perverse and twisted mentality there is no need to make apologies and return properties to Jews, unlike to Greeks, Egyptians, Arabs or Australian aborigines.)
